Car Museum
Speed of airplanes and race cars led the concept of this museum. The grounding of race cars was portrayed by pushing one end of each three buildings into the ground while the flight of airplanes into the air was portrayed on the other end of the buildings. This grounding allowed the building to sit within this slope becoming seamless with the environment. This allows the roofs to be accessed by the public as a park. The park gives back to the community as a place of calm and exploration. Each building has their respective spaces. The left small building pictured above hosts the research area consisting a shop, lab, and housing for researchers. The curved building consist the main exhibition and auditorium spaces. This building is mostly underground allowing fewer building material use and maintenance cost are lower. The building above the curved building acts as the main attraction/entrance of the complex. This building consist of the library, cafe, and gift shop. An atrium connects the two building to the right allowing open space and exploration. It is all about the thrill of learning about the history of car racing.
