Gemini Life is a retail store that expresses the essence of the outdoors within its space. Gemini represents the zodiac sign of the sun. Sunrise is when the adventures begin. The luminance of the sunrise is conveyed through colored LED strip lights. These gradient red to orange lights are placed in light tan wood beams that run from the ground up to the ceiling and continue suspended from the ceiling forming the rays of the sun. Real moments, emotions, and feelings are captured within the warm atmosphere of the store. New adventures bloom within the shops of the space. The displays in the shop consist of natural materials and patterns that include dark and medium oak finishes. The merchandise displayed in these oak shelves is illuminated with the same LED strip lights, but white. This store is located in downtown Fort Collins, CO, where outdoors is a must. This town consists of young people demonstrating their love of the outdoors by walking the many urban trails. These trails are portrayed on the floor of the space by harmonizing the flow of the rays that lead to each shop. Surrounded by mountains, the town supports storytelling of outdoor adventures that always begin at Sunrise.
